Whitewater & Wine on the Wenatchee River
If the taste of wine is more your cup of tea, we offer our Wenatchee river rafting and wine package, which incorporates Washington whitewater rafting and wine tasting at three of the most influential wineries in the Wenatchee area.
After a morning of Wenatchee river rafting, we arrive back at our private basecamp, then off to the best wineries in the area. We take care of the tour, the driving, along with information on the three wineries and some suggested favorites not to be missed. Don’t forget to grab a bottle or two of your favorite red or white to pair with dinner! We strongly encourage you to plan to purchase some bottles of wine as all wineries will waive your $10 tasting fee with the purchase of your favorite bottle of wine. Due to insurance restrictions, we cannot provide or pay for any alcohol at any time for customers.
After hitting up three wineries, we return for dinner at our basecamp, followed by an evening of relaxation around the fire (during fire season) or simply lounging in one of our many hammocks. On hot nights it’s nice to take a bottle of wine and some cups down to the river takeout to cool off as the sun sets over the banks of the Wenatchee River.

We include a wetsuit, booties, a PFD for everyone, as well as a guide in each boat, all safety gear, and round-trip shuttle service to your car. This package also includes dinner at our basecamp following the beer or wine tour as well as overnight camping accommodations. Due to a recent insurance policy change, we are no longer able to purchase wine, beer, or any other type of alcohol for our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Expect to get wet! We raft rain or shine. River Recreation is happy to offer you our comfortable and spacious picnic area with plenty of umbrella-covered tables to enjoy your self-packed picnic-style lunch either before or after the rafting excursion. Please do not bring keys, phones, or anything you cannot lose with you on the river. We will have a secure place to leave your car keys.

Bring suntan lotion, a swimsuit, a bottle of water to drink, some cash, an extra fleece top if it is cold, a change of clothes, and you can leave a towel in your car for after the trip. If you plan on joining us for camping at the basecamp that evening (which we strongly encourage after an afternoon of drinking), please plan and pack your camping gear such as a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, etc.
