Beaker (John)

Beaker got started as raft guide when he organized a church group outing for the Newman Center at the UW. One of the guides for the group suggested that he sign up for guide training...the rest is history. The time he fell out of the raft at the top of Boulder Drop (a Class V rapid!) on the Skykomish River and had to swim the entire drop, tops the list of his river stories. John also spends his playtime skiing, scuba diving, and camping with his family.
