How Do You Like Your Whitewater?
River Recreation offers a whitewater rafting trips for everyone! Choose a leisurely float trip with the entire family, a thrilling whitewater run on one of the Washington’s most challenging rivers, or something in between like a classic run on the Wenatchee River. Each trip is unique—different landscapes, different-sized rapids. Some trips are designed for scenic adventurers who are a little more interested in the scenic than in the adventure. Other trips deliver the best whitewater Washington has to offer.

Float Trips
Not up for the full whitewater experience? In the winter, join us on a flatwater trip on the Skagit River (Class I) to view the highest concentration of Eagles in the lower 48. In the spring, summer, and fall, come along on a float down the Upper Wenatchee (Class I/II) to enjoy Eastern Washington’s sun. These trips are for people of all ages and anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy beautiful scenery and a day on the water. We will drift along leaving all worries behind.
Whitewater Adventure
Want the thrill of whitewater? Let us take you on a ride down the Wenatchee River (Class III), with big wave excitement, sun, and the charming town of Leavenworth. Want a little more adventure? Try the Methow (Class III-IV), Klickitat (Class III-IV), or Nooksack (Class III-IV) on for size. During the month of September, come on out for challenging rapids and the final whitewater of the season on the Tieton River (Class III-IV), home of the annual Tieton Toga Party.
Whitewater Extreme
Just can’t get enough whitewater action? You’re ready for our most difficult rivers. The Green River Gorge (Class IV) offers amazing scenery with demanding Class IV rapids. Or how about the nearly non-stop whitewater of the White Salmon River (Class III-IV), which begins in a Class IV rapid? And then there's the challenging Skykomish River (Class IV-V), highlighted by “Boulder Drop”, a Class V rapid, nearly a quarter mile long!
Multi-Day Trips
Let us take you on an entire weekend of adventure. We meet on Saturday where a catered lunch awaits, and then it’s off to the rapids. Back at camp, you’ll be served a gourmet dinner while your guides entertain you with their antics. Sunday morning you’ll awake to a breakfast spread before we’re back on the river for more whitewater. Sunday afternoon we’ll conclude the adventure with a farewell lunch. Inflatable kayaking is available as an option on several rivers. We host five two-day trip combos. Three day combos may be available upon special request.
Inflatable Kayaking
Want a new challenge? We offer inflatable kayaking as an option on many of the rivers we run: Wenatchee, Methow, Tieton, White Salmon, Upper Wenatchee, and at low water on the Skykomish. Hardshell Kayaking
Ready to step up to the plate and try your hand in hardshell or plastic boat kayaking? We offer a wide array of hardshell kayak classes from beginner to custom, guided trips on class III, IV and even V rivers. For those who have been rafting and had a blast inflatable kayaking, this may be the next big step for you.
Remember, if it's on a river we can probably do it!
